ArchivalResource

Hester Telle Richards diary, 1994.

Diary consists of photocopied pages from a diary Richards kept between 1891 and 1933, and a transcribed copy of Richards' diary of 1892. The transcribed diary includes a short introduction, biography, and index, as well as a short explanation of George Q. Cannon's family. The transcription centers around Richards' travels in and around Salt Lake City, usually with her twin sister Amelia. The photocopied diary centers on two spans in Richards' life, between 1891 and 1893, and 1931 to 1933. The later entries focus on Richards' estrangement from her husband and her concerns for her son Daniel.
